What no deposit car rental means with us

No deposit car rental in Agadir, with us, means exactly that. We do not take a cash deposit, we do not place a hold on your card, and we do not ask for a credit card as a guarantee. The only money that changes hands is the rental price, which you pay when you collect the car.

That is the same on every car in the fleet, from the Hyundai i10 to the Hyundai Tucson, and for any length of rental, from three days to three months. Nothing is paid online, and nothing is waiting to be returned after you fly home.

What a deposit does to your holiday

With a typical deposit

  • You need a credit card in the driver's name.
  • A large amount is blocked for your whole trip, even if nothing happens.
  • The money can take days or weeks to reappear after you fly home.

With CarRentAgadir

  • Pay in cash, or by debit or credit card.
  • Pay only the rental, at pick-up. Nothing else is held.
  • Return the car and you are done.

Deposit or excess: the difference

These two words are often mixed up, and the difference matters. A deposit is money a company holds before anything has happened, as a guarantee. An excess is the most you would pay if there is a claim, and only then.

With us there is no deposit at all, and every rental comes with full insurance. The excess is €1,000: if you are at fault in an accident, you pay for the repair up to that amount, and the insurance pays the rest. If nothing happens, you pay nothing beyond the rental.

So the honest answer to whether no deposit rental is safe is yes, because you are covered from the moment you drive away. You simply do not have to hand over money in advance to prove it.

Paying without a credit card

Many visitors do not own a credit card, or prefer not to use it abroad. Many Moroccan residents use only a debit card or cash. At most airport desks, that rules you out. With us, you can pay in cash, by debit card or by credit card when you collect the car.

Because you pay at pick-up, you also know exactly what you are paying for before any money moves: the car in front of you, checked together, with the contract in your hand.

What happens if something goes wrong?

No deposit does not mean no rules. Here is how each situation works, in plain words.

You notice a scratch when you collect the car

Show us during the check. We mark it on the contract, and it is never your responsibility.

You damage the car during the rental

Tell us straight away. If you are at fault, you pay for the repair up to the €1,000 excess, and nothing beyond it.

Someone else hits the car and it is not your fault

Call us before you leave the scene. When you are not at fault, you do not pay towards the repair.

The car breaks down

Call us. We arrange a repair or a replacement car, and it is part of your rental.

You get a traffic fine

Fines during the rental are the driver's to pay. Roadside fines are usually paid on the spot in cash.

You return the car a little late

You have one hour of grace on the last day. After that, a further rental day may apply, so message us if you are running late.

You change your plans before the trip

Cancel for free. You have not paid anything, so there is nothing to wait for or get back.

Why we can rent without a deposit

A deposit protects a rental company against damage and unpaid fines. We take that risk ourselves, for three reasons. Every rental is covered. We check every car with the customer at the start, so there are no arguments about old marks. And we meet every customer in person, at the airport or in town, rather than handing over keys at a counter.

It works because most people look after a car they have been trusted with. It also means we can rent to people the big desks turn away, such as visitors without a credit card.

What to check when you collect the car

  • Walk round the car with us and point out every mark
  • Take your own photos of the bodywork, wheels and glass
  • Check the fuel level, as you return it at the same level
  • Read the contract and ask about anything unclear
  • Keep our WhatsApp number handy for the whole trip

The full list of documents to bring is in our guide.

In our customers' words

  • Callum O'HareMarch 2026Google review

I'm extremely impressed with how smoothly this went considering how many bad stories you hear about car hire in Morocco.. Picked up easily from the airport, no deposit, the car was brand new in perfect condition, the drop off afterwards couldn't have been easier. There wasn't even a check for damage let alone trying to get us to pay for previous damage. I will 100% use this company again when coming back to Morocco

CarRentAgadir provided a 100% professional and hassle free service. I booked without using my credit card; was met at the airport by Mohamed upon arrival; and then 4 days later left the car at Agadir Airport Parking for collection by the company later. The car (Citroen C3) was in great condition. Highly recommended and I will use this company again without hesitation.

Super easy and fast booking. No deposit or credit card needed, which was great. Clear communication before arrival, quick pickup with no waiting, and an easy drop-off. Would definitely recommend.

Who no deposit rental suits

Visitors without a credit card, or who would rather not use one abroad, are the most obvious group. So are travellers on a fixed holiday budget, who do not want a large sum blocked for the whole trip, and Moroccan residents who prefer to pay in cash or by debit card.

It also suits anyone renting for a long time. A deposit held for a week is annoying, but a deposit held for two months on a monthly rental ties up real money. With us there is none, whatever the length.

If another company offers no deposit

Some companies advertise no deposit and then ask for one at the desk, or only waive it if you buy extra insurance. Before you book anywhere, ask three things: is there really no hold on any card, is insurance included in the price you were quoted, and what is the excess if you are at fault.

Our answers do not change at pick-up: no deposit, and a €1,000 excess written on the contract you sign.

Booking without a deposit, step by step

Choose your dates, pick-up place and car in the booking form. There is no card form to fill in at any point. We confirm the booking on WhatsApp and by email, and you pay the rental price when you collect the car, in cash or by card. When you return the car and it has been checked together, there is nothing left to settle.

No deposit rental: your questions

Can I rent a car in Agadir without a credit card?

Yes. You can pay in cash, or by debit or credit card, when you collect the car.

Is no deposit car rental safe?

Yes, as long as the insurance is clear. With us, full insurance is included and the most you can pay towards repairs after an at-fault accident is the €1,000 excess.

What is the difference between a deposit and an excess?

A deposit is money held before anything has happened. An excess is the most you pay if there is a claim. We have an excess, but no deposit.

Do you take a deposit on SUVs or long rentals?

No. It is the same on every car and for any length of rental.

What happens if the car is damaged?

Tell us straight away. If you are at fault, you pay for the repair up to the €1,000 excess, and full insurance covers the rest.

When do I pay for the rental?

At pick-up, in cash or by card. Nothing is paid online.

Do I need to show a credit card at pick-up?

No. You only need your driving licence and passport, or your national ID if you live in Morocco. You can then pay for the rental in cash or by debit or credit card.
